Founded more than 70 years ago, E. Jacobsen GmbH is able to look back on a long, eventful history today. Starting out by selling offal, the company quickly developed into one of the industry’s market leaders and has constantly expanded its range. The number of our suppliers has grown every year – today, we have access to a strong global network so that we can offer our customers extra flexibility and choice. Even our location directly by Hamburg Harbour is in no way coincidental. From Hamburg – the gateway to the world –, we trade with Europe and all the countries of the world, profiting from key competitive advantages such as our refrigeration centre or favourable road, rail and harbour connections.

The next generation is already in the starting blocks

As a healthily growing, traditional company, it goes without saying that we are focused on the continued existence of our operations. Even today, two generations work hand in hand together and manage a young, dynamic team that knows and meets the challenges of the future. Together, we are preparing everything to initiate the generational shift and to set new impulses for the coming years – whether through the introduction of state-of-the-art technology for improving our quality management even further, or the compensation of climate-damaging CO2, in order to leave behind a liveable and healthy planet for our descendants.
